Scrapbookit

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today.
It's my turn today again over on the Scrapbookit blog and I'd like to share with you the layout I have created "happiness".

I created this layout using more of the fabulous My Minds Eye Chalk Studio range.... this  time I only used some of the words to create my title and  I used coordinations cardstock  to create the layout....

this month Jo also sent me some little frames that coordinate with the chalk studio range.... My photo was way too big to fit into any of the little frames, so I cut one of the frames diagonally from corner to corner and created a little mat for my photo to sit on... In my pack this month was also some great diamante trim, which I added to one side of the photo...

I folded the extra large silk flowers in half and used them under the photo and title... My background was created using a couple of the Tim Holtz tag stencils with distress ink, and using a wire tool to scratch the Coordinations cardstock... remember that Coordinations cardstock has another colour in the core that is revealed when sanded or in this case scratched... although in this photo the core looks white, it is actually a very, very soft pink...

don't forget to get your challenge entries in for your chance to win, I'm looking forward to seeing them all...

Smile, for Scrapbookit

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today.
It's my turn today over on the Scrapbookit blog today and I'd like to share with you the layout I have created to play along with the current challenge.

This month Jenn Seymour is our Guest Design Team Member this month and she has set us a recipe challenge.

Here is her challenge..

You must use...
1) Black and White photo
2) a copy of your photo (any sizes)
3) embellishments (at least)
4) patterned papers and
a 5) word titlle.

Here's my layout "Smile"

I created it using the fabulous My Minds Eye Chalk Studio range.... this range was great to work with, it has blackboard images on one side and pattern prints on the other.... so versatile....
So following the challenge recipe, I have used a black and white photo, and a copy of it...

I have used more than the 3 embellishments...

four printed papers.... the word and banner are from two of the patterned papers in the range....

and last on the list a five word title " Smile today and be happy..... recipe complete...

I can't wait to see your creations....

So this month is a tough month for us all here at Scrapbookit, Jo is packing up the shop at the end of the month. Now although the shop will soon be no longer...we, the design team, are not going anywhere...Jo will still have the online store, be running crop days and retreats and we will still be sharing our projects on the Blog!

it's my turn again over on the Scrap FX blog and I have another layout I created to share with you all "Scenic Drive
These images are of a road trip through Colorado, this stop was at Garden of the Gods.

On this layout I again had fun with that fantastic Circle Weave Stencil, this time I used it only in random patches to give my background texture.

I used the Chicken Wire Stamp for some added background detail

the new title, Scenic Drive heads up my layout, coloured with Inka Gold to give it that great sheen (the picture doesn't do it justice)

Black with Two

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
I have some exciting news to share with you all, I have gained a spot of the Black with Two design team.

This month is Soft Grey and Dark Slate, and the word is "Life"... and here is what I managed to create:

It was a challenge for me not to completely cover and spray all the black, but I was very happy with the end result and I still managed to use some of my fav products.  Scrap FX random dot stencil with modelling paste.  Lindy's Stamp Gang embossing powder on the Scrap FX chipboard pieces and my French Script stamp from Darkroom Door.

Scrap FX product used to create this layout:

I hope you will come along and take up the challenge to be in the running for some fab prizes.

Scrapbookit

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today.
It's my turn today over on the Scrapbookit blog today and I'd like to share with you a layout I have created.

I created the layout using the gorgeous Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Range, Fields of Flowers and Herbal Infusion, for this layout I avoided the pretty pinks and went back to what I am more comfortable with the earthy tones...

I used Manor House flowers, Bella flowers and Kaiser flowers to embellish the layout.
The background texture was created using the Petal pattern stencil from Scrap FX, and a little #Lindy's Stamp Gang spray for colour.

The title is another from Scrap FX "Together is a wonderful place to be.

Die Cutting Fun

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today.
I have a layout using loads of die cuts that I created some time back that I wanted to share with you all, "Love"
All of the embellishments including my title (apart from the frames) were die cut... it's amazing what you can create with the wonderful range of dies available nowadays....

This is one of my favourite pics of my Bill and I, at the Titanic theatre restaurant...

For this layout I have used loads of Spellbinders dies: Anemone Flower Topper, Daisy Flower Topper, Bitty Blossoms and Foliage... to create all these flowers and leaves.
I just love the huge variety of dies that are available now....

Scrapbookit

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me, today I am sharing my latest work for Scrapbookit.
When I received my pack from Jo to use for this month, my first thought was wow she really wants to challenge me... such pretty Graphic 45 papers, so not me... but this is the great thing about being on Jo's team, I never know how far she will challenge me with the amazing range of products she stocks...
The layout I am sharing today was created to inspire you all to play along with the monthly challenge.  This months challenge was set for us by Guest Design Team Member, Liz Hocking.

For Liz's challenge she gave us this sketch...

and also for her challenge you need to use:
* two different paint or glimmer mist colours
* use a serviette or tissue paper
*use a stamped image

So this is what I came up with "Tiger"
a layout of my beautiful alaskan malamute who has now crossed over the rainbow bridge
Using the gorgeous Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Range, Hello Friend, Sweet Camomile, Just Because and Flora.  I followed Liz's sketch pretty closely.

For my title I used Scrap FX Freestyle Alphabet upper and lower Case.  It is on the title that I used my two paints (as per the challenge).... I used metallic bronze and over brushed it with black.
I also used some of the Kaisercraft sweet nothing rub ons and Pearl Strips in Latte on the layout.

I used a small piece of tissue paper, coloured with spray tucked behind one of my photo's.

For my stamped image, I used the fabulous Darkroom Door French Script stamp, love this stamp I think it is an absolute must have in your stash...  And you can see another of the Kaiser Rub ons over the script stamp...

I am looking forward to seeing all your fabulous challenge entries this month over on the Scrapbookit blog and don't forget you can get all these great products from Jo...

More Scrap FX

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
I have another layout I have created for Scrap FX  to share with you "Central Park

As soon as I saw the newly released Central Park wordlet, I knew I had the perfect photo to use with it.... When Bill and I were in New York we took a horse drawn carriage ride in the famous Central Park, such a wonderful memory.

When I saw this months new products I immediately fell in love with the Marrakech Stencil, and have used it to border my layout, and for the fab Central Park title I created leafy texture  on the tree using some modelling paste and chalk inks. I used the great Itty Bitty Bets Serif letters for the rest of my title.

Behind my photo layering I used the new Damask Stencil, this is a fabulous new flourish shape with great detail...

I used the Moroccan Tile Stamp to decorate the extra large Prima tag behind my photo, along with some of the Prima Cartographer ATC cards.

New Scrap FX

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
it's my turn again over on the Scrap FX blog and I have a layout I created  to share with you
"a Memorable day
I absolutely loved creating with the new Marrakech stencil ...

I loved the new "a Memorable day" title and really loved how I could curve it a little instead of leaving it in it's original straight line form... and check out that gorgeous texture from the Marrakech stencil...

A close up of the new Diamond Flourish Stamp.... Scrap FX foam stamps are so great to use, they stamp so well with all types of ink, here I've used archival ink...

A close up of all the gorgeous texture created with the  Marrakech stencil, modelling paste and Lindys Stamp Gang sprays...

Your Daily Dose

Hi everyone, so glad you can join me today,

Today was my turn to share over on PTT presents Your Daily Dose, so here's my little bit of inspiration...

I wanted to share an acrylic scrapping layout I created to hopefully get your creative mojo flowing.... I love creating with different mediums for my layouts, and Clear Scraps have created these great acrylic shapes that you can use to create your layouts on....they are so much fun...

I coloured the acrylic with some alcohol inks for a subtle colour and pattern effect

I used Scrap FX chipboard embellishments and words coloured with Smooch
and added some Film Strip Ribbon from Ideaology

Some metal cogs added to the Scrap FX movie camera give it a realistic 3D look
