Dream Machine and Dragon Journal.... for Scrap FX

Hi everyone, today I have a couple of recent projects I created for Scrap FX to share with you all... first up I have a scrapbook layout I titled "Dream Machine"

This is a pic of my favourite bike (yes I do have more than one bike, hence the favourite)… I love the pic showing off all the gorgeous lines and character of my bike... it really is my Dream Machine.... I had wanted this style of bike from the day I started riding, but this model was very rarely available in Australia... So when hubby discovered that there was one bike of this model in our local Harley store, the only one that had been available in years we just had to get it.... I fell in love the minute I rode it... it really is my Dream Machine...

This new title says it all.... I couldn't have had a better title if I had designed it myself.... love it!! perfect for a layout of my fav bike, my Dream Machine...

This awesome Steampunk Motorbike is the perfect embellishment for my layout... Isn't it totally fabulous... I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it...

To add to my photo cluster I cut pieces of the BBQ Mesh, love using it as a page filler....

I used the smaller piece from the Chain & Clip pack (there are two in the pack) to embellish my photo... it is just like the chain that is on my biker wallet.... Have I mentioned how much I loved these new Scrap FX designs...lol..

My next piece is an Art Journal cover which I have nicknamed "Dragon Journal".

this one was lots of fun to create... and will get plenty of use...

I began with the Intersections Stencil and applied modelling paste through the stencil to the entire front and back covers...

I added the amazing Steampunk Dragon to the cover.... isn't it a fabulous piece... I love how the body cogs piece is separate from the Dragon and as such allows for easy painting and colouring of both the dragon and his cogs cover, not to mention the sensational 3D this gives the piece...

to finish off the cover I added some pieces of Chicken Wire, some cotton, gauze and a few art stones...

Cheshire Cat .... for Art and Soul Studio

Hi everyone, it's challenge time again over at Art and Soul Studio! and this month I have created a cheshire cat journal spread to play along with the challenge

I used the challenge mood board as inspiration:

 So I played along with the Wonderland theme, used the colour theme and added my little playing card in the corner of the spread...  

Why not join in the fun there are 3 x $50 vouchers up for grabs!! One will be awarded for scrapbooking layouts, one for cards and one for mixed media/art journaling.

The Moodboard Challenge Rules are easy,  use our mood board as inspiration to create an art journal page, a card or a scrapbooking layout. Use the mood board however you want but you must add a playing card and as these challenges are sponsored by Art and Soul Studio please make sure that you use at least one product that is available from the store. You can enter an art journal page, a card and a layout but you cannot win all three.You have until the 11:59pm on the 31 July to enter and then the design team will vote to determine the lucky winners. Please note that the vouchers can only be won by residents of Australia but if you are from overseas and win the challenge you will be offered a guest design team spot.

Adrenaline Rush..... for Scrap FX

Hi everybody, thanks for joining me here. Today I'd like to share my latest layout...

"Adrenaline Rush"

I was in a real "painty mood" when I was creating this layout... so I began with just a white cardstock and some paint... everything is a canvas right?? anyway a bit of abstract design and bam! one unique background for my layout... I tried to convey the rush of speed I feel riding, especially on my Harley with an open faced helmet... nothing compares to that adrenaline rush... hence the title lol...

I painted the title "Adrenaline Rush" to match the background colours.... gave it a bit of an ombre look... love this new title and just perfect for my riding photos...

I added the new cranks chippies.... these are nice detailed cogs and come in several different sizes for all your "coggish" is that a real word? needs... these are from the cranks small pack...

Whale of a Tale..... for Art and Soul Studio

 Hi everyone, I'm back with you today to share my latest piece for Art and Soul Studio, an intuitive painting "Whale of a Tale"  that I created using the Fluid Media paints from DecoArt....

haha.... did you get my little funny in the title... I know I know it was lame... but the play on words tickled my funny bone.... anyway as the piece says... "always remember to have a whale of a time!"

When I sat down to make a piece for this blog post, I had no idea what to paint... so I started as I always do if inspiration is lacking, and put some colour on paper, and let it just happen... and this was the result today... hope you like it...

I made a little process speed video so you can see how this intuitive piece came together...

Thailand 2015.... for Scrap FX

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here.... Today I'd like to share a layout I created for Scrap FX.... "Thailand 2015"

These are a few of the pics taken with an underwater camera while snorkelling in Thailand...

the fish were amazing to see... 

for my background I layered up paint through stencils, beginning with  Number Collage small Stencil...

and the Steampunk Stencil to help with creating the background...

and I also used the Daisy Garden Stencil...

 I cut off the fish from the Aquarium wordlet for this layout...  

I used the numbers from the Playful Alphabet lowercase for the 2015...

 For my title, I used both the Playful Alphabet uppercase and the Playful Alphabet lowercase....

Extraordinary and Girl Power for Scrap FX

Hi everyone, today I'd like to share my latest creations for Scrap FX with you all... 

First up I have a layout "Extraordinary"

This layout is of a great pic of my hubby while we were out on our bikes one day...
I created this layout on white cardstock and painted it up with tons of layers of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics, till I was happy with the background...

 I used the title #extraordinary from the #surreal theme pack for my title...

I used the steampunk contraption to embellish my layout.... I cut it into two and put it either side of the photo on the layout...
I also used the newly released Geometry Stencil on my background with some modelling paste... it's an awesome stencil, great patterning...

Next up I have another layout to share "Girl Power"...

another layout featuring my gorgeous niece Tilly.... such a strong personality...
for this layout I used the newly released Gorjuss stamps and then painted them up using Twinkling H2O's (Twinks)... love my Twinks... I also did a pale wash around the stamped girls with Twinks...

I used the new Honeycomb Stamp over my washed background...

 I used the new BBQ mesh... which I am in love with let me just say... and I cut small pieces off to form little kisses...

 For my title I used the Girl Power from the Girl Stuff Theme Pack.... a miniature version of the original Girl Power wordlet...
