Life Captured ..... for Scrap FX

Hi everyone,  today I have my latest layout for Scrap FX to share with you all....
"Life Captured"
Sharing another of my fav photo's with the tiger cubs in Thailand...

for my background of this layout I used the two new stencils... Japanese Garden Stencil and the Oriental Flower Stencil...

I used the Japanese Garden Stencil in full and then taped off most of the Oriental Flower Stencil and used it numerous times to create my background...
I used the Colourblast inks to add my colour to the background...
I used the Life Captured wordlet for my title, and painted it up with Twinkling H2O's .... love how they shimmer, and love the new pan sets now available!!!
I used the #surreal from the #surreal theme pack to add to my photo.

I added the new Nodding Buds Large to embellish my photo cluster along with a few flowers and stems...
I again painted this up using my Twinkling H2O's... just check out that shine...

Well, that's all from me today...

till next time happy creating

Extraordinary and Girl Power for Scrap FX

Hi everyone, today I'd like to share my latest creations for Scrap FX with you all...
First up I have a layout "Extraordinary"

This layout is of a great pic of my hubby while we were out on our bikes one day...
I created this layout on white cardstock and painted it up with tons of layers of DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics, till I was happy with the background...

I used the title #extraordinary from the #surreal theme pack for my title...

I used the steampunk contraption to embellish my layout.... I cut it into two and put it either side of the photo on the layout...
I also used the newly released Geometry Stencil on my background with some modelling paste... it's an awesome stencil, great patterning...

more of the Geometry Stencil....

One last pic of the whole layout...

Next up I have another layout to share "Girl Power"...

another layout featuring my gorgeous niece Tilly.... such a strong personality...
for this layout I used the newly released Gorjuss stamps and then painted them up using Twinkling H2O's (Twinks)... love my Twinks... I also did a pale wash around the stamped girls with Twinks...

I used the new Honeycomb Stamp over my washed background...

I used the new BBQ mesh... which I am in love with let me just say... and I cut small pieces off to form little kisses...

For my title I used the Girl Power from the Girl Stuff Theme Pack.... a miniature version of the original Girl Power wordlet...

One last look of the overall layout...

hope you enjoyed these projects...

till next time

Lace Flowers using Vivid Ultra Metallics for Art and Soul Studio

Hi everyone, I am so excited to be joining you all today for my first post on this fabulous team at Art and Soul Studio.
I will confess that it was a little daunting trying to decide what to create for my very first post... so many wonderful products in the Art and Soul Studio to play with... Under such pressure, I decided to go with one of my all time favourite products... Vivid Ultra Metallic paints...  Seriously, these paints are in a class of there own, rich creamy paints with amazing metallic shimmer and shine, and the things you can do with them... and that leads us straight into todays tutorial... Lace Flowers...
Don't they just look seriously amazing... made from the paint, not painted onto a flower, made completely from the paint!...

Now onto a little video I made to show you how you can create these fabulous flowers for yourself...

So I hoped you enjoyed this technique and will consider adding some of this fabulous paint to your stash...

following are some pics of a quick layout I created using the flowers and leaves from the video...

This was two of my gorgeous nieces on Christmas Eve opening their chrissy pressies from auntie Cindy, love these girls... so fabulous watching their faces...
I used a couple of pieces of paper that I had printed on my Gel Press plate, using Kaisercraft paints, to make this layout, kept the design very simple to show off the Vivid embellishments...

Well, thank you all for joining me for my first posting, hope you enjoyed the tutorial, hope you'll give the sensational Vivid Ultra Metallic paints a try...
