Perfection

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
I'm up on the Scrap FX blog today... and I'd like to share a layout I created using some of the new releases..."Perfection"
I love this photo... I love water lilies....

I think this title sums up my photo perfectly... don't you?.....

I used the Fleur Motif to create my background...

I used the new Classic Frame large on my photo... I coloured up to two parts separately... the base I just used a Lindys spray... the decorative top layer I painted up with silks and then added some gold leafing ....
a close up of that frame detail....

one last close up...

Life is too Important to be taken seriously.... a video tutorial

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
Today is my turn over on the Scrap FX blog and I'd like to share with you a canvas I created "Life is too important to be taken seriously"

this was just a fun piece to create with loads of texture and Scrap FX goodness...

I created the background using modelling paste and stencils... Grungy WingRandom Dots  and Pipe Works.... then coloured it up using Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst sprays… Grab a Guy Gold, Marigold Yellow Orange, TigerLily Orange Red, Red Hot Poker Orange…. and Moonshadow Burnt Umber

I coloured the Scrap FX chipboard pieces (I have a full list of what I used below) using the starburst sprays.... and intensified the colour using the magicals powders…. Screamin’ Banshee Black, Afternoon Delight Denim, Dark Chocolate Truffle, Silent Night Silver, Poncianna Red Flame

I finished off the canvas with some roses sprayed up with the same yellow and orange starburst sprays…. Grab a Buy Bold, Marigold Yellow Orange and Red Hot Poker Orange….

and as a little bonus I created a video on how I created it... hope you like it...

I hope you enjoyed the video and that you will subscribe to my channel...

So here is the list of what I used:

Altered Fun

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
Today I'd like to share with you a project I created for a bit of fun with some Scrap FX and a load of Lindy's Stamp Gang products....

My Altered Guitar; Timeless Beauty.
This guitar was found in the junk pile of a thrift shop, they didn't even think it was worth selling, how wrong were they.... thanks to a friend of mine, I ended up with it, and I had so much fun altering it...

I started with a gesso base coat to give myself a workable surface.
I used pan pastels to colour and shade her face.

I used the Industrial Chic Starburst spray set to colour the guitar and flowers, this is still my favourite Starburst set, I totally love them....

I used lots of the Scrap FX  Flourish D flourishes around the flower clusters.  I painted up these flourishes using the LSG magicals powders and a wet paint brush, the Industrial Chic set of course. Using the magicals instead of the sprays allows you to get a more concentrated colour and shine.

I created lots of texture in her hair. I coloured it with more Lindy Stamp Gang Sprays, and I gave it sheen and shine with Lindy's two tone embossing powders in bronze, copper and gold toning's.
I used the Scrap FX title Timeless Beauty again painted up with magicals and the Flourish F flourish also painted up with magicals in her hair.

to finish off the neck of the guitar I used the Scrap FX Flourish V, once again painted up with the Lindy's Stamp Gang magicals.
