Smile

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...

it's my turn over on the D-lish Scraps blog for my last share this month, and I'd love to share with you a layout I created.... "smile"
this photo is again of my myself and my mate Deb when we were over in the USA together... this photo was taken in the formal gardens of The Biltmore estate... an absolutely gorgeous place, with stunning gardens...

for this cluster, I have used a coloured paper doily, a 3.5" paper doily, wordfetti, sequinsLittle Birdie micro florettes, bitty bloom and a forget me knot...oops don't forget the hydrangea petal, most people I know don't think that much of the hydrangea petals, they find them flat and boring... I personally love them as they make fabulous fill underneath other elements, and are so cheap!!!....

I used coloured wire to create my "smile" title...

here is a close up to try and show the coloured tulle that I used underneath the photo.... it was quite difficult to get it to show up on the photo's...

I hope you've enjoyed this months posts...

this moment

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...

it's my turn over on the D-lish Scraps blog again today, and I'd love to share with you a layout I created.... "this moment"

for this layout, I have used a pic of my mate Deb and I... we have so much in common... we had both bought (separately, with no consultation) the identical Harley Davidson jumpers and hats... so when we decided to do this photo shoot, we just had to wear them...lol...

I used loads of D-lish goodness on this layout... here you can see the Little Birdie Kraft Butterflies, PVC doily, washi tape, Little Birdie Vintaj micro florettes, sequins, and a bitty bloom and forget me knot... oops nearly forgot the coloured paper doily as well, which I painted with some gold paint...

I used some of the kraft shipping tags and stamped them up for decoration and to hide the tag I used for my journaling.... (I love hidden journaling)... I also used some cotton twine on the tags.... and I used a flair button for my title, I love using these and D-lish has so many to choose from...

In this final cluster I have used a bitty bloom, Little Birdie Kraft flowers, LB - Mix Media - Burlap Mini Beaded Petites, Little Birdie Vintaj micro florettes, sequins, Pinwheel bloom... PVC doily, forget me knot, washi tape and hand dyed muslin... D-lish Scraps has so many products that coordinate so easily, they make creating clusters a breeze...

Happy Memories

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...

it's my turn over on the D-lish Scraps blog today, and I'd love to share with you a layout I created.... "Happy Memories"
love this pic... it was taken outside of Disney's California Park....  the giant letters that spell out California are normally blue, but on this occasion as it was in October they were coloured to look like Halloween candy corn.... I just couldn't resist a photo on the 'c'...

I used some of the triangle washi tape from the recent D-lish Scraps 6th Birthday sweet celebration kit... along with the filmstrip washi tape...

Here I used some of the new gold punchinella, a flair button and some wordfetti...

I used one of the Freckled Fawn mini arrows, along with the 'remember this' journal spot (that I had left over from the June JAP kit).... I also again used the triangle and filmstrip washi tapes and some more punchinella...

I used another left over journal spot from the June JAP kit... these kits are released on the 1st of the month, they are wonderfully coordinated and sell out very quickly,....  again more of the washi tapes and punchinella... and a journal tab from the birthday celebration kit...

Don't forget there is only a couple of days left to get your entries in for the inspiration board challenge...  but there is still plenty of time to join in the Birthday celebration challenges over in The Scrap Suite...

Christmas in July

Hi everyone, it's Cindy here with my second blog post for the month.... I'm excited to share with you a couple of Christmas cards I created for Christmas in July...

To create this card I began by die cutting  the Conservatory die and the Goodwill Tree from the Christmas Emporium Collection ... I then backed the die cuts with cardstock....

Next I cut down the Conservatory die cut as shown...

then it was just putting it all together...
I applied the background die cut directly to the card front and used some foam tape to mount up the tree die cut over some gauze... and to finish I tied some ribbon binding in a big bow, and added some touches of bling...

A close up of the Silver Glitzen Glamour added to the tree and the 2mm gemstones added to the background die cut...

Next I created a super quick flip card...

The flip card base I cut from red cardstock and again used the Christmas Emporium Papers to decorate...

I added some Red Glitzen Glamour to the exposed area of red cardstock,  just to create some random texture...

after I had done this I decided that I didn't like the paper I had chosen for the inside of the card and replaced it with a stronger colour...

I pulled the centre off one of the bulk white roses and added it to the front... and also added a little silver Glitzen Glamour to it make it shimmer...

I used the smallest die from the Vintage Signs set to create my message inside... and placed it so that the rounded top would look like a tab when the card was closed...

Kryal Castle

Hi everyone, it's Cindy here with my first blog post for the month.... I'm excited to share a layout I created using the Heart Ease paper collection.

To create this layout I began by die cutting  the Rowena, the Vintage Branch and the Vintage Rectangles dies...from the 6"x6" Heart Ease paper pad... I also die cut the Simone's style border (not pictured), from cardstock.....

Next I stencilled some Shimmerz Texturz paste randomly onto a piece of kraft cardstock, using a magazine cover stencil I created from the Conservatory die....

I dried the Texturz paste with a heat gun....

Ink everything up with distress ink using a sponge dauber...

I randomly stencilled the background reusing the magazine cover stencil and a sponge dauber... just to create some random texture...
I embossed another piece of the kraft cardstock, using the Music of the Heart embossing folder...

Then it was putting it all together...
I sprayed up some of the bulk white flowers to match the layout...

and added some random stamping with a script stamp...

and layered up the die cuts, embossed cardstock and some distressed paper from the 6"x6" Heart Ease paper pad....
(this pic is before I had put on the title)

Magnificent

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...

I'm up on the Scrap FX blog again today... and I must say that this months releases are amazing.... loved them all, fabulous stamps, stencils and chipboard pieces.... I had so much fun playing with them....

Today I'd like to share a layout that I created using some of these fabulous new releases..."Magnificent"

I created this layout around  a picture of one of the fabulous orchids I discovered while on holidays...aren't they just gorgeous...

I created my background using two of the new stamps...  the Number Panel Stamp and the Lineage Stamp... they are fabulous to create background texture...

I cut up one of the new Hip to be Square chipboards to go behind the pic... isn't it a fun piece... so many fabulous uses...

Here you can see the texture I created using the fabulous Grunge stencil... this is a fabulous stencil, everyone should have it in the stash... usable for any situation as it is just so abstract....

For the title I used the new midi title "Magnificent"... I love these midi titles, there is a whole new range of them released this month, they are cost effective for your projects and not too large and there is usually a word that is perfect for every occasion...

One last close up of a piece of the Hip to be Square chipboard...
