Sharing

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
Today I'd like to share with you a couple of layouts I have designed recently.
First up is "Just Married"

Ahhh... it seems like only yesterday Bill and I were starting out... where did all that time go...

I created my background using the Palm Frond Stencil from Scrap FX and plenty of Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays... It's a gorgeous stencil isn't it...

I used the Just Married title from Scrap FX and spray and inked it up.

I used the same spray and ink treatment on the Chickenwire Heart (in which I cut out the chicken wire centre, I'll save that for another project).  I used a Prima frame, lace doily and tag along with Prima papers... I like using Prima papers for my mixed media layouts, they have a heavier weight and take the products so well, the perfect compliment for my Scrap FX stencils and chipboard....

The next layout; Dream, I designed for one of the lovely ladies who attended the Scrappe Tiger retreat back in May...

I was showing her how she could create loads of  texture quickly and easily using Scrap FX  products....

We used the Palm Frond Stencil to create a textured border for the layout, first with modelling paste, then sprays and inks...

The Dream title was coloured using a couple of colours of Inka Gold...

Some simple techniques to provide maximum impact, she loved the finished design....

Framed

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today for my second March post for D-lish Scraps. I'd like to share with you all a frame I created "Love"...

So I have had this cheap plastic frame at home for a while now and been meaning to alter it up... finally it's time has come.... I painted up the frame with gesso and then used some Inka Gold to colour it up...  I was pretty pleased with the finished result...

On the back of the frame I used the Scrap FX Stained Glass Corner Stencil.... I applied some modelling paste, gesso and Lindys sprays to colour it up, and highlighted the stencilling with some Inka Gold...

I created my own Cameo, using the DIY Cameo Kit...  so easy to use.... I simply stuck the epoxy sticker onto my photo and trimmed around it and then glued it into place... I loved the result... must get my hands on some more of these I think...

I used one of those fabulous "love" keys, and wrapped a small piece of coloured wire around it for added detail...

I used a couple of forget me knots and some of the Little Birdie, beaded micro florettes to decorate the frame.... I finished my frame off with some micro beads and glitter glass...

One last pic of the finished frame, that now resides on my desk, so I can enjoy it everyday....

I hope you've had a chance to join in the cybercrop fun going on over in the Scrap Suite this weekend...

Cherish

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today for my first March post for D-lish Scraps. I'd like to share with you all a layout I created "Cherish"...

I was trying to decide what to create for my projects this month and I came across this photo of me when I was a toddler.... Mum apparently loved to dress me in red and white... and I just happened to have the red monochrome mini kit in my stash... what more can I say, perfect!!!

the monochrome mini kit  has it's own mini wordfetti in it and a few of the sayings where perfect for my layout... the kit also contained red hydrangea petals...

to create my background, I used the Scrap FX Random Dots Stencil and some red Lindys spray, before laying down some red daisy washi tape  and then some of the sequins from the  monochrome mini kit ...

For my title I used the Scrap FX Cherish, from the Cherish word pack... I also used a white 5" paper doily as part of my photo stack...

back to the kit and I have used the mini envelope to create a pocket for a tag, which I created from the white packaging in my monochrome mini kit, I sprayed it with the red spray used for my background and added some of the red daisy washi tape ... I used the cotton twine that is tied on the monochrome mini kit to decorate the tag... and I also used the red sequin bow from the kit...

for my flower cluster, I used a flair button and more of the wordfetti and hydrangea petals from the kit... along with some medium roses and a mini Heirloom bloom to finish it off...

I hope you liked the project.... Now don't forget the cybercrop starts tonight, so hope you can join us for loads of fun and inspiration... so head on over to the Scrap Suite to join us...

Adorable and Carefree

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
Today I'd like to share with you a layout I created for Scrap FX  "Adorable and Carefree"

I love this photo of my gorgeous niece, Hannah... and I had loads of fun playing with the background creating texture and watercolour effects...

A closeup of the stencilled background using the Alpha Stencil, I really love this stencil... and it works so well with children layouts.... I used modelling paste to create the texture and then Lindy's sprays to create the water colour effects...
I used one of the new A words "Adorable" from those fabulous new word packs...

I used "Carefree" from the new C words pack.... I cannot rave enough about these new word packs... I love love love them....

I used the new Ruler Stamp with some embossing powder... I can see myself using this stamp all the time... now I can create rulers in any colour to match any art piece I'm working on... awesome!   and check out more of that background texture and colour, so much fun to create...

another close up of the background and Ruler Stamp .. can't you just picture your projects with that ruler...

Explore

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
Today I'd like to share with you a layout I created for Scrap FX  "Explore"

I loved this new "Explore the untaken path" title.... as soon as I saw it, it made me think of this photo I took at Bayon temple entrance at Angkor, Cambodia... I loved exploring this temple and got some amazing pics while I was there, including this one of the lonely entrance...

I coloured up the "Explore the untaken path" title with some Lindy's spray before mounting it up on my photo...

I used one set of the new Shoe Soles Stamp, and cut them out to mount them on the layout... this is a fabulous stamp with three different sets of sole prints...

I used the new Alpha Stencil to create my background texture with modelling paste and coloured up with loads of sprays for colour...

One last close up to show the background detail...

Latest Scrap FX Fun....

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
Today I'd like to share with you a layout I created for Scrap FX "Dream Discover Destiny"

I absolutely loved the new "dream discover destiny" title in the latest Scrap FX release.... it so summed up my journey to eventually see, and climb up the Eiffel Tower...  It was always a dream that eventually become my destiny to discover...

I just think this title has so many applications, I think it is going to be a new favourite... here I used some Lindy's Embossing Powder on it... I also used the Couture Creations perforated die under the title...

The new Alpha stencil created great texture on my background with some modelling paste, don't forget to colour up using some Lindy's sprays...

I absolutely fell in love with the new "A words" "B words" and "C words" packs...
here I used one word from each pack.... each pack has six mini words... so useful and so versatile, love them....  Here I also used one of my old favourites the clockface/gears, steampunk... I treated all the chipboard pieces with the Lindy's Embossing Powder for this layout...
