D-lish Fun

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...

it's my turn over on the D-lish Scraps blog again today, and I'd love to share with you a few pieces I have created....
first up I created a little bookmark ..... so quick and easy to do... I wanted to keep it simple and flat, so that is suitable for everyday use...
I created it by using the DIY Cameo making kit, so easy to use.... adhere the epoxy cabochon over the photo or image and then cut around to remove the excess from your image... next glue it into the cameo frame... and you're done...
To turn this cameo into a bookmark I adhered it to a DIY bookmark....

Next up I created a leather cuff... I had some faux leather I had already preprepared with a couple of press studs(adjustable as they tend to stretch), it just needed some decoration...

I used a pvc doily which I coloured with black stazon ink... and then removed the centre from a daisy and replaced it with a black resin flower... I originally added heaps more flowers and even a couple of wood veneer skulls, but decided I liked the simplicity better... love it...

My last share is the layout I created using loads of yummy D-lish Scraps products for the cybercrop tic tac toe challenge...
I used the diagonal line for my layout... Hand dyed muslin, flowers and a Flair Button...
this is one of four great challenges that are currently running over in The Scrap Suite... there's still plenty of time to participate for your chance to win...
Here is a close up of the Little Birdie flowers and the Bitty Blooms along with some sequins...
in this close up you can see more of the flowers including the Trellis Rose and the Hydrangea Petals... along with the Wordfetti....
one last close up showing the Hand dyed muslin, Flair Button and more of the Little Birdie Flowers...

So hope you'll pop over to The Scrap Suite and join in the fun...

& Smile

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...

it's my turn over on the D-lish Scraps blog again today, and I'd love to share with you a layout I created.... "& Smile"
I created this layout using the Captured Moments just add paper kit... if you haven't tried these kits, you are missing out... they are fabulous, everything coordinated, making it so easy for you, Amanda has done all the hard work for you...

this kit had some awesome washi tape in it... don't you love that film strip print....there was also some yellow with white dot tissue paper... I used the tissue paper to create my background... and then added some of the fab washi tape...

this particular kit also had a tag and small bag, some journal circles and tabs and a cute paperclip with dotty ribbon that I decided would look super cute on the tag... and it does right...

I loved the circle label and peg on this particular pack and thought it suited my photo perfectly... another awesome addition to the kit was a fabulous film strip die cut...

the kit also contained mini black roses, yellow medium roses and the white azalea .. and for once I didn't add any extra flowers...lol... all of these were in the kit...
the sequins, wood veneer title and the button flair finished off my layout...

I can't express enough how much value there is in these kits... for this layout I have used the kit, white cardstock, an old book page and some gauze... making this one of the most economical layouts I have ever made... such good value... and I still have lots of left overs, more than enough to create another layout...

Ten Life Lessons

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...

it's my turn over on the D-lish Scraps blog today, and I'd love to share with you a layout I created.... "Ten Life Lessons"
This is a layout of one of my gorgeous nieces, Chelsea... such a little cutie...

I used the Scrap FX Ripples stencil to create my background texture... love this stencil...
You can also see here the Hand dyed muslin that I used under the photo...

I used heaps of the gorgeous D-lish Scraps flowers including: Asters, Cosmos Daisies, Forget me Nots, Oriental Lillies, Sweet Petites, Sweetheart Blooms, Metal Flowers...
I also used a Flair button from the Script words white set, which I think sums it all up perfectly.... and I cut up a Leaf Spray to use as the leaves for my flower cluster...

For my title I used Scrap FX products.... I used the playground alphabet set and the 'ten' word from the Mini number wordlets set .... don't forget Amanda will get these in for you if they are not in stock...

Ta Prohm

Hi everyone, it's Cindy here with my second blog post for the month.... I'm excited to share another layout I created using the new Heart Ease paper collection.

To create this layout I began by die cutting from Core'dinations Cardstock....

I cut two sets of the Nesting Dies Victorian Rectangles....I set them up on my magnetic platform to cut as frames...

I cut the Honeypot die.... of which I only wanted to use the small confetti pieces...

and I cut the Simone's style border

I used Hearts Ease paper as my background  and marked out my photo position ... Then with a stencil I die cut from a  glossy magazine cover, I applied white sand texture paste around the marked area...

Once dry... I inked over the texture paste and inked up the die cut nested frames...
I adhered some of the honeypot confetti to the background and adhered the inked frames...

a close up of the texture and inking...

I added some cotton thread under the photo, which is mounted up on foam tape...

to finish off the layout I coloured up some of the bulk white flowers, and cut a couple of Cycad Fern leaves...

Guest spot Crafty Crusaders

Hi everyone, I am thrilled to be here with you today.
I have created an 8x8" watercolour canvas to share with you all, showcasing the Pebeo Studio Aquarelle watercolour paints...

I began by mixing up some modelling paste with various colours

I then applied the coloured modelling paste through my stencil

once the modelling paste was dry I could watercolour the base canvas

next up I added some stamping around the edge of the canvas and a stamped butterfly which was painted up with the Pebeo watercolours

I loved working with these wonderful watercolours.... they are deliciously transparent allowing great blending on my butterfly wings. this fabulous transparency also enabled me to create the 3D shadow under the butterfly

for a finishing touch I added some Schmincke Rich Gold powder, it has a gouache binding medium, you just add water to get a fabulous shiny gold effect

 and finally the finished canvas...

Sentimental Journey

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
It's my turn today over on the Scrap FX blog... and I'd like to share a layout I created using some of the new releases...
The new title "Sentimental Journey" is perfect for this photo, this place holds a very special piece of my heart... and always will...

For the underlying cardstock I used the new Fleur Mofit stencil/mask with some modelling paste and Lindys magicals and sprays...

I used the Scribble Script Stencil with modelling paste and ink to create background texture...

Don't you just love this new "Ornate Clock" this is the small one there is also a large version...  they are made of black cardstock, just gorgeous....
Here I cut it into two pieces to spread behind my picture...
In the background you can see the part of the new Wrought Iron Stamp that I used on the background with Lindys embossing powder...

A close up of the title, a Sentimental Journey, embossed with Lindys embossing powder and another view of the Wrought Iron Stamp...

One last close up...
