Pure Cuteness

Hi everyone I have another quick step by step to share with you today that I recently created for Couture Creations.... "Pure Cuteness"

this is a series of pics of my cute niece Chelsea enjoying her very first biscuit....

Now onto how I created the layout...

I began by cutting two sets of the Nested Squares from Coredinations heavy weight black cardstock.

I then decided to make my own washi tape from the Quick Release Die Paper...
I did this by applying strips of the 12mm double sided tape to the back of the quick release die paper...
then carefully cut the tape strips apart...

Next I began with the basic design.... I stuck down several strips of the washi tape and arranged my nested square frames... I glued the frames down using the Turbo Precision glue pen...

I then decided to add a little sparkle to the layout..... I created a stencil from an old magazine cover using the Conservatory die...

I applied some Red Glitzen Glamour Glitter Glue randomly through the stencil....
I love using magazine covers for stencils because they are that little bit thicker and coated, and as such can be wiped down with baby wipes and reused over and over...

Finally I added a few of the red 2mm Gemstones on the exposed corners of the Nested Squares....

One last pic of the layout before I list the products used...

Happy Memories

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...

it's my final post for this month on the D-lish Scraps blog today, and I have another layout to share with you all "Happy Memories"

I love the memories these pics bring back of my old beautiful boy.... Nanook, enjoying his favourite treat... a raw carrot... Carrots were his absolute favourite treat...

To create this layout I started by creating my background with acrylic inks and then I used the Scrap FX Ripples stencil with some modelling paste to create loads of texture on top...

I used a Freckled Fawn Arrow paperclip to create my lower cluster, along with a Journal It's Spool Top Sentiments, Hydrangea petal, washi tape, sequins, crochet mini doily and some hand dyed muslin...

for this little cluster I used; a Flair ButtonHydrangea petal, crochet mini doily, sequinshand dyed muslin and a Journal Tag ....

and finally I used the Journal It's Spool Top Sentiments, some more  washi tape...

I hope you've enjoyed this months shares

oh Boy

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
it's my turn over on the D-lish Scraps blog today, and I'd thought I'd share with you all the layout I created for the current cybercrop challenge over in The Scrap Suite.... "oh Boy"

I got the colour challenge for this cybercrop... and I have been loving using blue and green colour combinations of late so this is the combo I chose for the challenge...

A little about my layout.... I created the background using the ScrapFX Ripples stencil, this is a fabulous stencil....

I used one of the fabulous Quatrefoil paper bags to mat the photo and added some white punchinella, seed beads, hand dyed muslin and a flair button...
I used coloured wire to create letters for my title... and used the Boy wood veneer and stars from a recent Just add paper kit... and finally I scattered a few sequins....

So there is still plenty of time to participate in the challenge and all the other great challenges of the current cybercrop over in The Scrap Suite, why not come on over and check out all the other challenges and join in all the fun....

Smile

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...

it's my turn over on the D-lish Scraps blog today, and I'd love to share with you a layout I have created.... "Smile"
this is another gorgeous pic of my niece Chelsea showing off her adorable smile... isn't she so gorgeous...

I decided to create this layout in monotone greys and white, but I could have easily achieved a sticking effect using a monochromatic approach in orange or blue or pink or or or the choices are infinite...
In the pic you can see a silver sequin bow(I love these bows)... a white Heirloom flower and a grey After 5's flower aren't these flowers gorgeous... with such pretty centres...  if you look closely you can also see a coloured paper doily sticking out...

Here is yet another white Heirloom flower (I removed the largest petals to make it slightly smaller and give a little variety)...  I used the "smile" flair button from the defining words set....  I used a silver spiral stamen (I love these... you can stretch and pull them to any size and shape you want)... I added some adhesive silver pearls (and these are on clearance at the moment so grab yourself a bargain)...

I used some filmstrip washi tape...  and some silver adhesive rhinestones...
I also used some plain muslin... but if you are looking for some coloured muslin, check out the fabulous range here...

Finally, the last pic shows a great close up of some of the background stamping, and Chelsea... which is the Scrap FX mini alphabet...don't forget if you can't find the Scrap FX you want in the D-lish Scraps store then ask Amanda, she is happy to order it for you...

Life is Beautiful

Hi everyone, it's Cindy here with my second blog post for the month.... I'm excited to share my latest layout "life is beautiful"

Another layout of my gorgeous niece Chelsea.... having fun eating sand in her sandpit... well I guess you need to try these things for yourself...lol...

To create this layout I began with the nesting oval dies and cut 5 sets of them from core'dinations heavy weight 80lb black cardstock....

I then used the two way glue on the ovals and let it dry, so it becomes a removable adhesive....

I then adhered the ovals to a piece of 12 x12" chipboard it a random pattern and left one corner uncovered as shown...

Next I applied modelling paste all over the ovals...

and then removed the ovals....  I dried the modelling paste with the heat tool which caused it to bubble up... next I gave it a light coat of gesso before adding colour...

I used Blue Hawaiian Blue Lindys spray and then Lily Pad Tattered Angels spray, drying in between...

I then applied Tattered Leather  spray with a brush to the ovals to make them really pop...

I cut one of the Simone's Borders and one of the life is beautiful from a piece of brown core'dinations cardstock from the Cafe pack ...

Finally assembly..... I used a small amount of qauze under the photo and applied some silver Glitzen Glamour onto the exposed gaze for a little sparkle...  I cut the Simone's border die cut to fit the photo and layered two pieces at the bottom of the photo....

I used a finger dauber to apply some distress ink to the edge of the page...

I sprayed some of the bulk white flowers to match the layout and added a few gemstones to the border die cut....

One last pic of the completed layout... she is a cutie isn't she...

Scrapping for my Man

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...

Just sharing some recent work for Scrap FX ... an off the page piece that I created using some of the fabulous new music themed releases..."Memories"

I made this piece especially for my hubby, so it is in the style he prefers and the colours he likes... I have included pics of us over the years and all our current fur babies for him...

I loved this new large music border .... and it fits just beautifully across the Arch Window Panel kit that I used... the arch window kit comes in two pieces... and I decorated the back panel using modelling paste, tissue paper and of course some awesome Scrap FX stencils... I then decorated the top panel with the Random Dot Stencil....

Here you can see the "Memories" title from the Memories Word pack...and the Circle Weave Stencil on the back panel...

I used the new Record: Life is a Song..... I just love the words on it, and just so perfect for this project....

I used one of the family words from the Family word pack...

this is the Heart Pin, one of last months releases.... isn't it fabulous...

next up is the Adore word from you guessed it... the Adore Word pack.... Scrap FX has so many of these fabulous word packs... packs of the same word with different fonts... they are so versatile...

a few hearts from the Lots of Love pack...

Moments.... from the Moments word pack....

and the love word from the Scribble Sentiments pack...

and one last pic showing some more of the hearts from the Lots of Love pack... and the Moroccan Tile  Stencil in the background...
