Dream Discover

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today... Today I'd like to share with you a layout I created...
"Dream Discover"
P1230794a
these pics are from a Scrapbooking Retreat I ran in Vietnam.... this was a banana flower salad that I am tasting.... those that know me well, know this was way out of my food comfort zone... but I must confess, it wasn't that bad...
P1230794b
For my title I chose the dream, discover, destiny wordlet.... I decided to alter it and remove "destiny" from it, I didn't think it really went with my pics so well.... I used some Tinby Melts on this title to give colour shine and molten texture...

First let me apologise for a close up of my gob, I did think about putting the watermark over it....lol... but I needed to show off  how I used the new squiggle frame, large to highlight my main photo... this is a really cool frame, and you get two in the pack to play with...  I coloured it up the same as my title...

One last close up to show that title off a little better....
Finally just a reminder, I have a Scrap FX giveaway (thanks to the generosity of Jill) running at the moment on my blog and the ScrapFX Facebook page...  got to be in it to win it... check it out here....

Incredible

Hi everyone.... I'm excited to share with you all my latest project using some of the fabulous Couture Creations products.

I created a layout "Incredible"... on this layout you'll find a professional photo I had taken some years back, but I still love the colours of this pic (oh and for those wondering, yes it's real and yes it hurt... lol the two questions I still get asked regularly)...

For this project I wanted to go about using some of the Couture Creations products in some different ways .... hope you get some ideas from what I came up with...
I started out creating a couple of stencils from the covers of old magazines(you know they have that glossy coating and treated carefully they last well...)
I then grabbed my palette knife and some Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue (I used Red, Black and Antique Silver) and spread it through my stencils onto a Coordinations heavy weight 110lb white cardstock...
I continued using the different coloured Glitzin'  Glamours and my homemade stencils randomly onto the cardstock to complete my background texture...

Next I took some of the Quick Release Die Paper..... I love the print on this paper, it is way too pretty to only use as a release paper in our dies... so I tore some into a couple of pieces and crumpled it up...
I then used the Jumbo tip 2 way glue to adhere the pieces to my cardstock...
I used one of the Vintage rectangles to die cut some more Coordinations cardstock...
and did the same with some of the Everyday Essential Arrows...
I painted a chipboard title, and then covered it in some of the Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue, and left it to dry...

Then it was a simple matter of putting it all together...
I mounted up the arrows with 3D Foam Adhesive Strips
I mounted the photo with Foam Mounting tape...

I finished the layout off with some of the Jewelled Florettes (2.5cm and 4cm) that I had inked the edges using a sponge dauber....

so here he is at 8 1/2 weeks or age... isn't he just so gorgeous... a total distraction...

I used the new heart strings coloured up with Tinby Melts...  aren't these just the cutest...

I used the Itty Bitty Bets "Typewriter" alphas for his name.... I love the Itty Bitty Bets alphas they are already black.... need no painting... so quick and easy to use....

I used the circular shawl stencil with some Viva modelling paste to give texture over my stamped background.... love the shapes from this stencil...

One last close up.... isn't he just too cute.... love his colouring... he's so cheeky now...
I see a long road of training ahead...

Baby

Hi everyone, thanks for joining me here today...
Today I'd like to share with you a layout I created for Scrap FX...

"baby"

So this our newest family member.... at 3 days old... meet Kanishka....  he is an Alaskan Malamute and we are expecting him to grow upwards of 40kg; especially as he was the heaviest in his litter...but we will have to wait and see just how big he gets...

for my page title I used the new baby banner..... isn't it just so cute... I coloured it up with some Tinby melts on the word and then some izinks on the birdies...

I created texture on the backing page using the new circular shawl stencil... love the texture patterns this stencil creates...

I love the new "facts to remember" set... here I have use 3 of the 5 pieces in this set... again I used Tinby melts to colour them with...

my final touch was to use some of the new vellum white feathers... you need to cut these out yourself but they are so worth the effort...
